Engineering Analyst

Location: London
Reporting to: Technical Director

Are you interested in furthering the environmental agenda in shipping?  At Anemoi we have designed modern mechanical sails, known as Rotor Sails, which are comprised of tall cylinders. These harness the renewable power of the wind to propel ships, significantly reducing fuel consumption and lowering harmful emissions entering our atmosphere.

We are now looking for an Engineering Analyst who will support our sales team and prospective customers to understand the potential fuel savings ( and environmental benefit!) of installing Rotor Sails onto different types of vessels taking different routes.  Using our existing Fuel Saving Assessment (FSA) model you will work with the engineering team and our prospective customers to understand the particular factors which will need to be taken into consideration for each FSA and then run the calculation to demonstrate the benefit of Rotor Sails.  Alongside this, we are looking to improve our FSA model so you will assist and support this as well as supporting with other analytical work to support the sales process as required.

You are likely to be a highly analytical person, with great attention to detail and a background in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.   You will enjoy the challenge of the calculations and gain satisfaction from your part in helping to reduce the fuel used in shipping.  In addition to being a clear communicator, you will be comfortable in working in a team.  This role could lead to a broader career in mechanical engineering in the Marine sector.

This role is based from our offices in  London and we are adapting to a hybrid working environment with up to 2 days per week working from home.  We are a professional, smart, collaborative and supportive team, all passionate about Rotor Sail technology and our mission to reduce CO2 emissions.  Our benefits include:

  • Competitive salary, depending on skills and experience
  • Pension Scheme
  • 25 days’ holiday pa plus public holidays
  • Life Assurance
  • Medical Health cover
