About the Role

Headquartered in the UK, Anemoi Marine Technologies also have a legal entity operating in China. We have a new exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our expanding finance team to provide professional management accounting support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review monthly P&L and prepare and post month end journals accordingly
  2. Produce monthly management accounts and commentary for review by Financial Accountant & CFO, developing the reporting to meet business needs as the business grows
  3. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  4. Liaise with budget holders for annual budgeting and forecasting
  5. Carry out quarterly review of P&L against budget and liaise with budget holders on variances
  6. Prepare and submit VAT return
  7. Raise sales invoices when required and manage AR
  8. Collate research and development costs to compile R&D tax claim
  9. Prepare monthly report on cash flow forecast based on business activities
  10. Ensure all expenses are processed in a timely manner to run month end

Other Ad-hoc Duties

  1. Assist with implementation of new financial system (SAP)
  2. Assist with any ad-hoc reports required
  3. Assist with external reports as necessary – Statutory accounts, Tax returns etc
  4. Undertake ad-hoc finance duties including resolving finance queries including purchase and sales ledger and expense management


Education / Qualifications

  • Good A levels (26 points, BBC) or AAT qualified
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)


Knowledge and Experience 

  • Compilation of management accounts and monthly reporting
  • Experience of working with high value products
  • Complex product costings experience desirable
  • Proven Data Analysis knowledge and experience
  • Purchase ledger/sales ledger knowledge (transactional skills are not required)
  • Competent with financial systems – Anemoi uses Xero/SAP
  • R&D tax credit experience desirable but not essential
